There is a return to a renewed interest to the ancient greeks, romans, we see what covolzations that these societies offered, we see a rise in the idea of humanism. We begin to value human life and challenge new power structures in society. Martin luthers challenge of the catholic church. The church wanted to sstop printing and they tried to control it. In the counter reformation we had the state and church work together to try and stop this publishing / when you went to publish it, you hd to go through the church and they undermined this.
