Apolloā son of Zeus, wise like his father !
-god of music and poetry and medicine and disease !
-imagined as having his major weapon ā a bow and arrow & shooting a diļ¬. type of
arrow called the āgentleā arrows !
-āgentleā arrows are diseases (like cancer) !
-is imagined as very youngā ~17 y/o !
-god of voice transition to manhood (from boy to man) !
-apella = the assembly of citizens !
-we donāt know what apollo means exactly but we assume itās like assembly of the
citizens !

-is a virgin goddess, goddess of the wilderness!
-goddess of the mountains and of wild animals (bears, boars, deers, etc.)!
-is often shown as having 2 lions or 2 deers by her side !
-is the goddess of a girlsā transition to woman, is the protectoress of little girls!
-is the goddess of child birth !
Athena (Athene)ā jobs include a goddess of technology: weaving (clothes) !
-virgin daughter of Zeus !
-Zeus ate his ļ¬rst wife who was pregnant (Metis) !
-Metis = intellect !
-the baby inside Metis wasnāt destroyed!
-Zeus had a terrible headache and he asked someone to hit his head so when the
person did Athena came out fully armed !
-thus, athena was born from the head of Zeus !
-Athena was a goddess of wisdom and intellect!
-goddess of strategy in war !
-is a virgin goddess!
