Needed men so put on festival and promoted it to sabine who had most beautiful women. Most of the men hide, jump out of hiding, grab the women, and essentially lock the gates of everyone to kidnap the women. Takes long time for sabines to gather than army to attack rome. Took at least 9 months because by the time they came, there were babies. Women cause end to war, sabines combine with rome.
