Evidence of growing population 830-700bc w/ growing population they began burying dead on esquiline hill. 700 bc - rome controls 7km around themselves, about 150km squared. Begins w/ thatched huts w/ packed mud floors. 550 bc - stone buildings (stone = wealth)
