The trojan war & end of the mycenaean. Helen was the most beautiful woman in ancient greece. Her mother was a beautiful woman named leda and her father was zeus disguised as a swan. From the irst, hatched helen and from the other hatched her twin brothers. Helen married menelaus, the brother of agamemnon, and together they ruled over sparta. Peleus, the king of thessaly, and thetis, a sea nymph, were married with all the gods and goddesses present except for one. Eris, the goddess of discord, was not invited and as revenge, she threw a golden apple down into the party with the words: to the fairest. In order to decide who was the fairest, the goddesses turned to paris, the most attractive man in ancient greece, to decide for them. Each goddess brought one thing to bride him with: Hera: a lion, bribed him with power.
