Figure 2 and 5, shows us that the ortho and 2,4 dinitro products are apart of the crude product because the spot do not line up on the tlc plates. The only difference is that the ortho has a higher rf value than the 2, 4 dinitro because the ortho product has a higher polarity. These isomers aren"t in the product because they have a lot of steric hindrance and aren"t a preferred isomer. Figure 3, suggests that the product is does not completely have the meta product because there is a slight difference in polarity. The rf value is a slightly higher for the meta than the crude product.
