People will do anything to get high: in some rural cultures, people will sniff cow manure to get high (fermentation of methane gas) Illegal because they are dangerous: related to the behaviours they create rather than the side effects, people don"t perform at an optimal level. Health: adverse effects (intoxication & addiction) Personal life: employability, destruction of relationships and families. Society: health costs, economic impacts to companies, economic impact to families. Jail time: up to life in prison. Criminal record: limits employment opportunities, limits ability to travel. Secondary crime: up to 75% of property crime is drug related, great amount of violent crime is drug related. Buyer beware: street drugs are not pure substances, street drugs can contain anything, impossible to know what is actually in them.
