Chapter 1 notes exercise physiology: structure and function of exercising muscle: there are three distinct muscle types: smooth, cardiac and skeletal. It is the fluid part of the muscle fibre, it"s the cytoplasm: sacroplasm contains many dissolved proteins, minerals, glycogen, fats and myofibrils.
