It is important we understand that because everything is done by a process. In the ghomeshi file, things were done, but because of legal failure, they may not have been appropriately dealt with. This is not the fault of the defence. Maybe the conduct was violent, but maybe there was consent. If you take things out of context, you build a story that brings you to conclusions and you can find things that you never should"ve been able to find. Ghomeshi was charged on a second account for sexual harassment at the workplace. The victim didn"t want to continue the process and he signed an approach where he"s on probation, and next spring, the charges will not be executable (they will be dropped). He will go for a few million and will go back on air and be a bigger star than ever.
