Best were task oriented and works well with people. Delegating authority: giving someone else the authority to make decisions. Questionnaire measured if leader was task or person orientated. Successful leadership is achieved when leadership styles patches the followers. Someone who helps you get over the bar (transactional) Someone who helps you expel waaay beyond the bar (transformation) Paints a picture of a better world. The ability to create and articulate a realistic credible, and attractive vision of the future than improves on the present situation. Extend or apply the vision to different contexts. Giving them the authority to do things. Team leaders job is giving team the chance to do things on their own. Legitimate power: put into a leadership position.
