Qualitative research is concerned primarily with words and images rather than numbers. It is usually inductive let"s see what the information tells us before concepts and theories: the process starts with field research, and then concepts and theories are developed. It tends to be interpretivist concerned with meaning: concerned with finding out what an action or event means to the people involved.
