Medical model: the diagnostic perspective which assumes that diseases (including mental illness) have physical causes that can be diagnosed, treated, and possibly cured. Anxiety disorders: group of disorders characterized by fear or anxiety accompanied by physiological arousal and related behavioural disturbance.
