Habituation process in which an infant is given something until they can completely perceive the info. They may be physically developed but not as sensitive as an adult. Habituation is when you present one stimulus repeatedly until the infant gets bored (sound, someone"s face) and present a new stimulus. If the infant can tell the difference between the two stimulus and pays attention, this is called dishabituation. Overt behaviour how long an infant look at the stimulus. Slide 5: all infants are given a stimulus and their habituation is measured through the pop sound with a pacifier.
