Interpersonal perception trying to perceive what other people are like. We have ways that we select that we focus on. Selective perception: looking at one"s personality, find some commonality. Selective attention: non-verbal language like they use their hands when they talk, grab your attention by wearing certain clothing, speed of the language, tone and depth of the voice between you and another person. Selective exposure: depends on the situation you are in, being in one setting versus another; being in a classroom is different than being at a cafeteria. Selective recall: what we want to remember. Some familiarity on how things should work based on our own family.
