Length of time incarcerated is not a deterrent for future criminal behaviour: no effect on recidivism. Early reviews of correctional treatment literature were not positive. Martinson"s nothing works debate: palmer & gendreau responded. Risk-need-responsivity (rnr) model (andrews, bonta & hoge, 1990; bonta & andrews, 2017)
