you go to bed
A patient could be thinking about how clean they are before they pray
oA drop of blood or urine on their gown make it not clean, so invalidates
their prayers
oMay need special access to cleaning
Fasting is another prophet Muslims do, but that can jeopardize the health of a
patient, my religion, they are responsible to listen to the doctor
Alcohol is forbidden, eating poorly and pork but saving a life is more important
oMedical treatment with alcohol is okay if necessary

Us vs them: healing with god vs healing with medicine and science
oShould be done together because want the same outcome= life and health
“I’m showing a lack of faith if I see a doctor or take Advil, not letting god heal
me” or “medicine is the only way to heal patient”
