Meanings of love and romance vary according to context: her: romanic love = marriage. Might not be the same as male. Sexual revoluion: sexuality and desire become separate from marriage and family (castells 2004) Sexual expression highly regulated: e. g taboo for couple to engage in public sex, or have sex with family members. Sill very prevalent: gender violence, power and sex(rape culture, abuse etc)
