Counterbalancing: counterbalancing is a method used for removing the confounding influence due to stimulus / conditions order, confound noise / extraneous variable. One of the studies was in regard to improved lighting which was found to significantly improve worker productivity. Rather than simply accepting this data one investigator decided to repeat the study with decreased lighting and found that this also improved productivity. Acting on this conviction, the candidate learns as much as possible about the company, and on the job interview asks lots of relevant questions, shows lots of interest, and is generally very positive. As a result of this preparation and attitude, the job is offered to the person.
