Mixed episode/features full criteria for mania or hypomania, with 3 or more depressive symptoms. Abnormally elevated, expansive or irritable mood + increased goal-directed activity or energy lasting at least 1 week . 3 of the following symptoms (4 if only irritable mood ) More talkative than usual or pressure to keep talking. Yes during both manic and depressive state symptoms may overlap; hard to diagnose. Prevalence of depression > mania misdiagnosed as unipolar depression.
