Platforms they search from (databases can be search in different systems) e. g. ovid can search medline. Give the exact words used to search (usually given in appendix) Search tends to be overly sensitive too many results (may not be feasible to use) Includes articles from ~5600 journals, with data added to make searching easier (for instance, mesh terms, type of study, etc. ) Ovid medline and pubmed have the same content, but the search engine differs. Easier to search for articles on drug classes no pharmacological action terms. Easier to do complex searches with multiple concepts combined with or and and. Finds articles on topic, no matter the exact words used. Find newest articles takes a few months for mesh terms to be added to articles. Some ideas have no corresponding mesh term keyword is best way to find them.
