Congenital disorders (condition existing at or before birth regardless of cause) Not uncommon to have more than one impairment in communication. Intertwined with an interaction among the processes of speech, language and hearing. Disorders of speech, orofacial myofunctional patterns disorders of the muscles and functions of the face and mouth, language, swallowing, cognitive communication, hearing and balance. Un impairment/disabilities affect quality of life.
