JRNL 100 Lecture Notes - Lecture 5: Tweeter, Network One, Livestream
Document Summary
We start digitizing the internet by taking the analogue wave, chopping it up and turning it into 0 > a huge invention for the internet. It is a transformation of the ecosystem as a whole, as magazines, telephones, movies and other similar facilities are available in a singular network. One of the biggest changes: the idea that consumers are able to talk to one another and not be isolated from one another. The concept of blogging came from re blogging or re inserting hypertexts/hyperlinks that could already be found on the network. It all depends on where the power is distributed within the network. Throughout modern networking (e. g. internet), the power and control is distributed throughout the different audience/news/media outlets. Since the invention of twitter and tweeting, the distribution channel of events could be reversed or change (e. g. the michael brown shooting tweet incident, where the tweeter was asked to contact the post dispatch)
