Document Summary

Resource wars and conflict commodities --> the idea that most wars are produced by the need for resources. Also arises from the argument of global climate change (along with global conflict and security) Optical war: campaigns that are conducted to such a large-scale would require intimate knowledge of that space, in order to fight the war --> thus optical wars are wars that are thoroughly investigated. These wars were monitored by electronically charged aircrafts, which took photos of the space the war was taking place in and the photos would then be turned into maps. Prior to being used as an air force/weaponry, airplanes were only used to take images and to attain knowledge on the space of war in order to create maps. The aircraft essentially becomes the military eyes in the sky --> they produce hundreds of aerial maps everyday, these maps are then used by the generals to plan their campaigns.
