Radiant energy: comes from the sun, electromagnetic waves (i. e. sun, hot fire, clouds, walls of tent) Sensible heat: thermal energy, essentially something that we can feel (e. g. warm and cold air) Latent heat: due to phase changes of a substance, i. e. evaporation, water (the cooling of water) Chemical energy: fixed conversion of co2 to to carbohydrates --> essentially photosynthesis. Kinetic energy: due to motion, from winds (i. e. due to force winds) Geopotential: due to the position in gravitational field (i. e. if you have cooler air, Heat: thermal energy content of a body, expressed as energy (usually expressed as mass or unit of a volume) Temperature: the ability of a body of energy to transfer to another body, it is the measure of the random kinetic energy of it"s molecules (the molecular energy in a substance that gives something it"s temperature)
