One day, it all stopped, and people lost a lot. In contrast to other lowers, the tulip was very pure , unlike other lowers. Doesn"t relate to our physical desires : but it doesn"t necessarily relate to pollan"s theory. Jan breughel: an allegory of tulipomania: condemning the acions of the people in tulipomania. But this isn"t what pollan is trying to say. He"s trying to capture a sense of sill life. There is something about that that deies and disrupts what it means to be human rather than something else.
