Perception as a source of accurate knowledge representations. The object of perception (what kind of thing do we see?) After the introductory module, we cover three areas: knowledge representation, One obvious way to arrange these three parts would see them as the three elements of a model of a cognitive system. Knowledge representation would be central with perception forming one boundary (or point of contact) and action forming another boundary (or contact point) with the environment. On this model, perception and action are peripheral. Genuine mentality is pure cognition, not interaction with the world, which is a mixed mode (mode means different parts of mental activity come in different forms. There is remembering, feeling, emoting, deciding each of these can count as a mode. Varieties of mental activity) partly mental and partly physical. The core of the computer (the computer proper) is the processor and its memory (where its knowledge representations reside).
