Document Summary

We don"t use dialectic model to test things/examine. More used to correct potential bias we might have. Dialectical material used commonly by marxist and used in political sense. The things we create or need are abstract and we think they"re concrete. Should study horses as we see it, then we"ll learn the essence of horse . Humans and horses are abstraction we make anti-realist. Eg. red doesn"t exist it has a secondary characteristic, can"t pin down to one essential characteristic resonance of light, etc. Eg. horse in dialectical thinking no horse look at the the phylogeny. At some point, there is an essence that define a horse aristotle. But it"s actually a marker eg. species change population exist in an area. Epigenetics conrad waddington was the first to recognize them unique. Eg. punctuated equilibria gould: speciation happens in ecological arena and we translate it through a legacy (pattern in the rock).
