Production versus reception: five basic types : Aesthetic effects of camera movements: narrative functions of camera movements. Sense of movement without moving camera, optical printer (causal effects) photographs shot on a stand and you zoom into. More accurate to speak of frame edge movement, what we see is changing. Mobile frame is a another way to describe it. We"re more worried about visual perspective rather the what the camera is doing. We should have that sense if the camera moved. Camera movement enhances depth and dimensions or create an impression of moving in space. With any kind of device to create excitement, a song you crank of volume, its the same with film if the beginning is handheld, after a few minutes if its still doing that you"ll lose interest. These techniques are only effective if used once in a while.
