Democracy - decisions/talk involving inclusion and debate with others way to deal with group communication. Group power - ability to follow through on decisions. Inclusiveness - everybody directly affected should have a say. Commitment - everyone will abide by decisions with the rights of minorities protected. Relationships - respect for individuality, competence and mutuality. Communication ethics: democratic ethical decisions made by collaboration, inclusive deliberation, universal-humanitarian - enlightenment principles people are rational need reasoned decisions. Individual liberty: codes and procedures - rules set up by (professional) bodies to promote good conduct. Standards agreed to by organization: contextual ethics vary (by situation, culture) importance of the particular situation, narrative values that are transmitted through stories, dialogic good established through communication promotes listening. Ethical leaders: accepts that behaviours they see might be unethical.
