Measures the aging (65 and over) population within a certain area. Increase in the aging population as time passes. Can figure out the life experience and the needs of each aging population had experienced. Need to measure and categorize the aging population separately bc each aging population experience life differently and their needs differ. The fixed, finite, maximum years species can live. The average number of years a person is subjected to live at birth or a specific number of years. The average number of births per woman to a normal childbearing age. High fertility bc war is over and life is better. Decrease in fertility and normal for ppl to have less than 2 children bc access to birth control, new ideology, financial problems and etc. Better healthcare but less infrastructure to provide for the aging population. Better technology to help the aging population. Financial strain on the families and the government.
