No such thing as culture that sits out there u can touch it and feel. Culture is the basic element of our society. These are all simple systems we use as guide to our thinking. Cultuiral comic strips are a part of our culture. Dogs are cultural objects that give us meaning. Gang membership for tattoos personal or social meanings. Culture is actually influenced and shaped by social factors. Functionalists see a close fit between culture and society. Society to maintain themselves they hav many concrete needs. And social instuitutions arise to meet these needs.
