Attachment of myosin and actin is the basis for figor mortis - occurs after death. in skeletal muscle - two broad classes of fibres: extrafusal and intrafusal. Extra - external intra - internal intrafusal fibres are part of muscle spindle system. Series of detectors for muscle stretch or muscle length that we have in all our skeletal muscles.
