Brains go through variety of stages while we sleep. Initial stages are light then we proceed to more deep sleep that"s when our heartrate and breathing slows down. Then we go back into rem sleep where mind is active but body is paralyzed and eyes are blinking. Proceed through the cycles repeatedly throughout the night. 1) beta 12-38 hz awake and aware. Delta below 4 hz deep relaxlazation. , theta 4-8hz deep relax meditation or hypnosis up in peaks and down and trops- peak and trop make up aptitude. All brain waves working all the time just in different constants. Light sleep theta brain waves as it makes up most of the consta,s. Used to be 3 and 4 but after 2004. Really hard to wake someone from this tage. From stage 3 go to stage 1 and replace with rem. ^ this is one sleep cycle repeat this 5/6 times during the night and each rem sleep gets longer.
