Human beings are the only creatures that contemplate ourselves (contemplaion comes in forms such as folk tales, popular songs, poetry ) We think, feel, dream, act and wonder how and why we do these things. Human self-contemplaion is now known as science-psychology. Psychology - is the science of behaviour and the mind. Behaviour - the observable acions of a person or an animal. Mind- individual sensaions, percepions, memories, thoughts, dreams, moives, emoions and other subjecive experiences. All of the unconscious knowledge and operaing rules that are built/stored into the brain and conscious experience. Science - atempts to answer quesions by systemaic collecion & logical analysis of objecively observable data. Data in psychology based on observaion of behaviour which helps determine inferences about the mind. Psychology - applied discipline, also one of the helping professions clinical psychologist who work in applied areas of psychology help people to cope with everyday problems.
