Dream themes: falling/chase/failing influenced by concerns, stimuli, self (lucid aware & control) Pons releases acetylcholine > forebrain/cortex = cortical arousal in brain > initiates dream process (shut down by serotonin and norepinephrine) Sexual and aggressive drives that can"t be expressed when awake.
