Document Summary
Operational conditions- learning voluntary behavior responses (things you choose to do vs. Observational learning- watching, retaining, and replicating behavior; observe learning by watching others. Learning- relatively permanent change in behavior that occurs because of experience. Something happens to you and you change your behavior accordingly. Behaviorism (pavlov and watson)-radical form of imperialist, only study with things that can be studied objectively. Behavior studied without referring to mental states. Observe in environment (stimuli) and observe the behavior or response to that stimuli and learn. If (cid:455)ou (cid:272)a(cid:374)"t see the (cid:373)i(cid:374)d (cid:862)(cid:271)la(cid:272)k (cid:271)o(cid:454)(cid:863) (cid:455)ou (cid:272)a(cid:374)"t see it dire(cid:272)tl(cid:455) so (cid:455)ou (cid:272)a(cid:374)"t stud(cid:455) it about learning. Classical conditioning- results from associations of neutral environmental stimuli with automatic responses. Automatic response- existing in organism due to evolution. Unconditional reflex: unconditioned stimulus- any stimulus that elicits a reflexive response in the absence of learning, unconditioned response- reflexive response elicited by a stimulus in the absence of learning, physiological responses designed by natural selection.
