Planners have to think a little with power of the masses. University programs identify critical thinking skills as an important outcome of your education. Employers value our students because of their critical thinking skills and problem solving abilities . Being critical in the context of critical thinking : does not imply being negative or disapproving . But much of our thinking, if left to itself, may be: biased, distorted, partial, uninformed, prejudice. Yet, the quality of our life and what we produce is dependent on the quality of our thought. Therefore, our thoughts must be systematically cultivated in order to maintain a desired quality of life. Knowledge is power critical thinking leads to knowledge. One sense critical means crucial or related to core criteria . Another critical as in discerning judgment : using insight and understanding to judge or evaluate. It s often also characterized as thinking about thinking .
