Top priority: transportation (35% of priority comments) Second priority: poverty, homelessness and supportive housing (11%: speaks to awareness of poverty throughout the region. There are 48,000 living in low income housing, 10. 2% of population, 11,000 are children: poverty affects disproportionately certain areas of the population. Poverty is expensive monetarily but also to the well-being of the community. Poverty has to be addressed in a comprehensive approach, required interrelated approach. The region"s approach to poverty reduction will enable all departments to provide an integrated collanorative and coordinated response to poverty.
