We need to understand the context, the form in order to understand how to implement solutions. Historic cities have always been an inspiration for planners. Two types of planners, one look back, nostalgic and may overlook negatives, forward thinkers think in utopias, technology plays a role in planning. Many planners a pro urban, only see cities as a good place, jacobs embraced the city.
