Acknowledges the challenges implicit in the con ict deescalation model. Set a time frame for follow up. People seek to balance power in healthy and unhealthy ways. Some live with unbalanced power as a norm. Balancing power - have breaks, speaking order, enforcement of ground rules, seating arrangement. Ensure parties have a chance to fully express themselves.
