Document Summary

A statement is a sentence that has a definite state of being true or false. Because a square is always positive, the following statement is true: Whilst in the final answer, your proof cannot assume either side of the equation is true, you may do so in rough work in order to find the proof. Usually, start on one side and use algebraic problem solving to find make it match the other side. Watch out for diving/multiplying negatives, which can change signs.
