2 types of error can occur - 1. backward telescope - reporting of info incorrectly respondent reports a victimization incident after the time given. 2. forward telescope - reporting info incorrectly reports incident before it happened. Crime of rape began - only a man could commit rape and a woman could be a victim. A man also cant rape his wife. Law at that time - a female could be a sexual aggressor against a male. Only a man can be the offender, not a victim. Sexual assaults - divided in three levels. Level 2 - sexual assault with a weapon one that causes bodily harm. Level 3 - aggravated sexual assault - sentence. Just vag - pen - considered just rape - level 1. Weren"t sure if something was an assault or an act of assault. Case ; adult male - fondled breasts of his neighbours teenage daughter.
