Special part: speciic ofences against person, property, state, etc, governed by general part, code ss. Homicide as sample of special part: upper limit of criminal law: causing death of another = ultimate crime; attracts ultimate sanction, ultimate stigma. 222(3) homicide that is not culpable is not an ofence. : culpable homicide. 222(4) culpable homicide is murder or manslaughter or infanticide. Forms of culpable homicide separated by degree of fault and circumstances surrounding ofence, as deined in code: murder requires subjective intent. 3: thin skull rule: accused take their victims as they ind them. The criminal code does not comprehensively codify all causation issues that may arise in a homicide case.
