Global population growth, box by box hans rosling. 1960 = word population becomes 3 billion. Industrialized world had 1 billion healthy, rich, educated, small family. Developing word had 2 billion poor. 2010 4 billion added to world population. Most successful developing countries have become emerging economies. Some developing countries were still as poor as they were in 1960. Others are healthier, richer, more educated, and small family. There is still a wide gap between the richest (west) and the poorest (some developing countries), but now there is a continuum with most ppl being in the middle. Poorest group (2 billion), lower-middle group (3 billion), upper-middle group (1 billion), richest (1 billion) Middle income group (3 billion) will move forward economically if investing in green technology (avoid severe climate change energy is still relatively cheap) Richest and middle income groups family planning, pop growth is coming to an end. Poorest group (4 billion) pop growth continues.
