Organizing to meet the basic needs of the community. Provide education that will keep people within the community. Establish common beliefs and keep law and order. Macro (def): looks at the big picture for answers (ex. Connectedness- every part has a function and the parts all work together (body analogy) If one part isn"t working, all the others are affected. Believes it is possible to have a perfectly functioning society.
