Document Summary

Stress is the reaction state you are in due to an initial event. So let"s break it down into the steps! First there is a stressor, the situation that triggers the stress response, which is how the person reacts to the stressor. And stress then, is the physical or emotional state that accompanies the stress response. There are individual actions in the nervous system and in the endocrine system, and actions in both systems together. First let"s talk about the nervous system alone. The nervous system is comprised of the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system. Central splits off into the brain and spinal cord which regulates conscious control of your body. Peripheral splits into autonomic nervous system and somatic nervous system. The somatic also controls conscious control of your body along with sensations.
