Society: the sum of the inventions, institutions and relationships created and reproduced by human beings across particular places and times. Buddhism: humans cannot be separated from nature - humans and the planet are one and the same. Resources: specific components of the environment like forests, wildlife, oceans, minerals, petroleum etc.
