Participatory culture: culture where citizens are both media consumers and producers. Social network analysis: study of social networks; esp. actors, ties btw actors network structure, and major in uences on the formation and durability of networks. Actor network theory: study; networks pays attention to human and non-human actors. Social production: creating of good and informational goods in a social or collaborative fashion e. g. wikipedia. Modularity: extent to which something can be broken down into smaller components. Granularity: smallest poss. individual investment necessary to participate in a project. Convergence culture: media forms and consumption that cross many different sites and formats and incorporate both professional and amateur aspects. Pro-am revolution: people producing media rivalling the professionals.
