Europa gave birth to famous king midas. Oracle says to expected a cow and to follow it. Decided to sacrifice cow and set his city there. Found spring where he wanted to sacrifice cow. Spring had serpent who ate all of cadmus" men. Cadmus fought the well-fed looking serpent and killed it.
