Winged boots so he could fly = talaria: character, essence. Helped thieves steal things because he was the god of thieves: he gave pandora the character of a thief, concerns. Iris is also a messenger of the god but hermes is more commonly found. He is the divine messenger of zeus. He often helps heroes more commonly then athena. They could be pillars with the head of hermes on top. Sometimes they would have an erect phylas (penis) He is not violent but he is always using his trickery: hera, argos. Hera has slapped around artemis and he goes to beat up hermes. Hermes said that she could tell everyone she beat him up so they wouldn"t have to fight. He killed the monster argos (giant with a hundred eyes) Io was a young princess who zeus had her way with. Io was turned into a cow and hera guarded the cow but using the giant argos.
